Lacey & Rosey

Stone Ridge trekked to Tyler, Texas September 21st- 24th to test their talents against the nation’s best at the American Eventing Championships.

With three competitors we had three clear cross-country trips and two in the top 10.

Lawson Tunnell and Agitated Hawk qualified at Beginner Novice. Unfortunately, an abscess flared up in transit and despite the intense efforts of coach, farrier, vet and rider the pair had to withdraw. Lawson maintained a positive attitude and remained at the event during the week to help her teammates.
Jasmine Hawkins and Divine Intervention put in a consistent dressage test and a foot-perfect cross country round in the Novice Junior division. The angled rolltops before the water looked spectacular as Jasmine held her line perfectly.  The show jumping atmosphere dashed our hopes of finishing inside the top 10, but it was a positive learning weekend for both.
Lacey Messick and Second Hand Rose moved up the leaderboard adding just a few time penalties cross country and jumping double clear in show jumping to finish 6th in Preliminary Amateur. She was also an integral part of the winning Preliminary Adult Team Challenge competition.
